Gathered at low tide on beaches across the West coast, Flora forages for the most vibrant and beguiling species, drawn in by colour, shape and form. The seaweed is then washed before being prepared for the press; with each delicate frond carefully prised apart so that the shape mimics the natural fluidity of seaweed in the shallows. Afterwards, many layers of paper and newspaper are stacked and sandwiched together to encourage the seaweed to dry, allowing it to be framed and preserved for years to come.
